Things to note when adjusting and using the machine

Precautions before use

• Wash hands thoroughly and dry before use, clean and dry breasts before pumping.
• Check that parts that come into contact with breast milk have been properly cleaned and sterilized and that parts are assembled according to the Instructions for Use.
• Use the pump in the correct position to ensure breast milk does not flow back.

Adjust the suction level

• The suction level is measured in mmHG and represents the suction strength of the breast pump. Be careful when adjusting the suction level of the Spectra S1+ breast pump. It is believed that milk flows faster at high suction levels. However, too high a suction level can cause pain for the user, hindering milk flow.
• Therefore, we recommend that users start pumping at a low level and gradually increase to a comfortable level. The comfortable level of pumping may vary from day to day, within the same day, or even within a pumping session.

Massage mode and Milk suction mode

• Massage Mode: User adjusts suction power to select appropriate massage level.
• Pumping Mode: Once milk starts to flow, your baby will start to suckle more slowly, deeply, and vigorously. Therefore, this mode operates at a slower cycle speed with stronger suction. Adjust and level the suction to suit each person's body.

Cleaning breast pump accessories

• Clean accessories that come into direct contact with the skin and breast milk regularly, such as valves, funnels, massage funnels and bottles.
• Clean with specialized bottle cleaner or warm water / boiling water. Avoid boiling the accessories directly because in the long term it can cause expansion or deformation, causing the joints to loosen and reduce the efficiency of milk pumping.
• No need to sterilize the air line regularly: because the air line is located behind the milk stopper, separated from the air circulating from the outside, it does not need to be sterilized as often as other accessories.
